We have designed the perfect program for volunteering. It allows volunteers to give as much time as they like, when they like, all from the comfort of their own homes. Often people would like to volunteer but find it difficult to commit because it usually requires extra time, gas money and being away from your family, sometimes in miserable weather.
Help keep our website family friendly by previewing our blog submissions before they get posted on the site. Put on your favourite slippers, log on as a volunteer, and help others, all while staying at home. If you have a computer, and pass our references tests, this may be of interest to you. PS: your slippers don’t have to be fuzzy but it helps!
Are you comfortable speaking in front of groups? Would you like to help spread the word about our charity? We have a prepared presentation that can be used by anyone, anywhere. A simple 15-minute presentation could be made at such places as: your work, your place of worship or to your own family and friends.
Do you like working in a small, friendly office? Support with day-to-day office management skills will be appreciated.
Do you have experience in fundraising for the non-profit sector? Creative, outgoing individuals and ideas all over the country will help us reach our goals.
If any of these areas are of interest simply email or call. Tell us about yourself, and how you can help. Your efforts will be appreciated by us and we hope rewarding for you.
Samer does amazing work on our website. His technical skills are assumed, but what we reallly appreciate is his ability to anticipate current and future needs, resources and frontiers for our website. Samer is smart. He knows the Internet and how best to maximize our place on the web. We are fortunate to know him, and proud to say he is a great help to us.
The reason why I like to volunteer? I am becoming more aware in my 'old age' that giving of my time not only benefits this good cause but mostly I get a sense that I can make a small difference. It's a win/win situation and at the end of the day I feel really good about myself.
